Marcus Eaton is the father of Tobias and a council member of Abnegation. He's the only living council member of Abnegation, after the attack by Erudite and the mind-controlled Dauntless.

Marcus is described as looking similar to his son Tobias particularly as having similar colored, dark blue eyes.

RelationshipsEdit

Tobias EatonEdit

Marcus and his son are not on good terms. Marcus was reoccurring in Tobias' fear landscape, bringing back memories of his childhood punishments. In Insurgent, Tobias attacks his father when trying to prove he is not a coward in order to gain Dauntless leadership.

Evelyn JohnsonEdit

Evelyn is Marcus' ex-wife, who supposedly died when Tobias was 9. In Insurgent, it is revealed that she is still alive, but left after having an affair.

Tris PriorEdit

Marcus has uneasy relationship with his son's girlfriend. Originally Tris is against Marcus but by the end of Insurgent they for an unlikely alliance in order to retrieve information from Jeanine's computer in the Erudite compound.
