    • They are stiff. I generally don't believe in selflessness. I'm Amity born, transferred into Dauntless. Never going near that compound.

    • i'm abnegation born (both of my parents took the quiz and ended up abnegation) but i hated it there and also transphered to daughtless i represent the saying faction over blood i didn't look back after the choosing ceramony beacause that compound was a terrible place.

    • My father is divergent but went to erudite and my mother really is erudite.so I was born erudite then transferred dauntless.I want nothing to do with abnegation cause even though I left erudite I agree with them.

    • I am naturally Abnegation, I was born into it and stayed. Helping others is one of the most important things you can do. Those Erudites don't know what they are talking about. I even cried during the attack on Abnegation, I couldn't take it! Abnegation is so underappreciated in the Divergent fandom. P.S. Please don't ever call me Stiff EVER!!! Okay?

    • I am Dauntless but I transferred to Candor though I respect Abnegation =)

    • the stiff's or to those who are offended Abnegation are good people but I cloud never live that way. Not celebrating birthdays, not having actual friends, not decorating my room or appreciating art (which I do), dressing in plain loose simple drab clothes that refuse my self expression, no alcohol and only eating plain food? (I need my bacon cheese burger's ok?) they aren't even ALLOWED to HAVE FUN!? I can always try to be selfless and I respect Abnegation folk but I could NEVER LIVE LIKE THAT

    • I'm divergent so my view may be different. I was born erudite where I was told endless lies about Abnegation so I grew up knowing them as stiff's but I transferred to dauntless for more than those reasons because I did not get an abnegation result I got erudite, amity and dauntless.

    • I'm Divergent (Amity-Erudite) and Amity-born. My chosen faction is Abnegation, though I have a great respect for Erudite and nearly chose them. I changed my mind at the last minute. I believe you should serve others but still take care of yourself. I may not agree with all of the Abnegation's views, but the pros outweighed those of Erudite. I also respect Candor very much. I believe that lies are just as bad as promises that are broken. Dauntless sounds fun, but it's not for me.

    • As an Amity, I hold great respect for the Abnegation. I believe that the help they deliver to the factionless is a great deed of selflessness, and would never dream of holding anything against them. Being born an Erudite and having to live with the lies fed to me about the Abnegation is hard, but I now completely accept that the slightly twisted Erudite way of viewing things is wrong.

    • I was born in Dauntless, and was raised calling them stiffs. After finding out I am Divergent, I could choose Amity or Erudite. I chose to be an Erudite. Some people call the things about Abnegation lies, but they are not. The Abnegations try to convert all of us to Abnegation, hiding luxury from us. I do respect some Abnegations, but most are not worth my respect. I am always impressed by Dauntless, but some are too ruthless, and not courageous. I consider Amity my ally. They will never reject things we ask them. Candor is irrelavent, and could easily be replaced.

To add, I do not agree with Erudites invasion of Abnegation. The factions were created for peace, not for destroying each other

    • I am Divergent.  I am Amity born my mother was from Amity and my father transferred from Dauntless to Amity.  My test results were Abnegation, Amity, And Erudite.  After a lot of thinking I chose Amity.  I have a lot of respect for the Abnegation. They give up the food they could be eating to help the factionless.  There are cons to Abnegation but the pros far out-weigh them.  The Abnegation are our silent partners.  Friends to everybody,  well except Erudite.

    • Divergent here: my test results were Candor, Amity and Dauntless. I was Erudite born and fed lies as a child then transferred to Dauntless because I didn't exactly have a thirst for knowledge. Friends to every faction apart from Erudite, some erudite are ok but not all.

    • Even though I'm Abnegation (until I take the test), I absolutely agree with the reports on Marcus Eaton

    • I was born a candor. I had to be honest all the time, my secrets, were all out there. I felt like a naked body in front of the world. My crush knew, my bestie knew, everything about me. But not even my worst secrets were out there. I told my mom I was leaving just before the test and she made me reveal all my secrets to the entire faction in front of my best friend. She even whipped me when I refused at one point. My aptitude results were Erudite. That's where everyone my entire life thought I belonged. I admit, I was very smart, but I can't be like them. I couldn't. I couldn't be Dauntless. I wouldn't survive. Amity life seems so happy. But it's not natural. The only option left was Abnegation. That life seemed so beautiful. I loved helping people but I was afraid. I chose it anyways. Back then the selfless rules weren't as strict. We still had to be, but we could have dcorations and stuff. Minor things ya know? The second I chose my new faction I felt a rush of happiness. I don't know why. I didn't realize what wasn't in for me, bet a "stiff" and all. I decided to start then so I took the stairs. With a bunch of Dauntless. One guy grabbed me and started groping around my breaths commenting on me being a little stiff! I didn't know how much I'd be bullied by the other factions, but I knew having this life was a blessing. I'm happy today. I'm glad I didn't choose Erudite, and I have no care for the life I left behind.

    • That's good that your happy where you are. I'm Amity. I'm friends with members of ALL the other factions. So I can tell from experience that you would have enjoyed any other one. Except Dauntless. My friend Kacey is Dauntless. She's kinda crazy. You could be in our little friend circle if you want. You'd have loved the Amity life. Erudite is super nice and techy and super smooth. I was an Amity born divergent. I'm technically only vaguely divergent, at about 60 percent. I stayed here because it's safest and nicest here. I am naturally Amity. I can't imagine anything else anyway. You don't seem to fit in at Abnegation at first, but I'm sure you live it now. Best of luck and best wishes!!

Nobody should ever do that! I'm a Candor born (candor hating) Abnegation as well! My test results were Erudite but I couldn't be with them, I respect my fellow Abnegation. You rock sister!

    • People, EVERY faction in the bokl overdoes what is supposed to be a virtue. Real abnegation is taking care of yourself and others equally. Taking care of yourself in order to be capable of helping others. Of course the way the Abegation live is not okay for many reasons. The road to hell in this story was literally paved with the good intentions of the factions.
